Our aim
Financial assistance that relieves suffering and supports recovery
The aim of our charity is to provide financial assistance for people in need, who live within the area of Plymouth City Council and are sick, convalescing, disabled or infirm, by relieving their suffering or assisting their recovery.
We are governed by volunteer Trustees who meet five times a year to consider applications carefully against our charitable aims and qualifying criteria.
How we work
Support for individuals and local organisations
We help people referred by professional organisations, and we welcome applications from charities working within Plymouth.
Individual grants
Plymouth Public Dispensary helps individuals supported by a professional organisation acting on their behalf.
Charity partners
We also welcome applications from charities working with people in the Plymouth City Council area.
Goods & services
We can make grants to other organisations to provide goods, services or facilities to those eligible for assistance.
